How text personalization works on a hat

Three steps take one hat template to repeatable personalized outputs, with one render call per output.

Keep panel text editable
Leave the front-panel brand name or slogan as a text layer in the hat PSD. That slot is what each design variation will change.
Step 2
Read the panel layer id
The upload response returns the panel text layer with its font, size, and color. Note its uuid for each render request.
Step 3
Render each cap
Send one render call per design with new panel text. Each call returns one cap mockup with the same crown and brim while the front wording changes.

Replace mockup_uuid and each text-layer uuid with values from the upload response, then send only the layers you want to change.

My hat text is curved. Is that supported?

Yes. Ten warp styles, including Arc, Arch, Bulge, Flag, and Wave, render live with your new text, matched to the curve the designer set. For the remaining curve shapes, render your text as an image and place it in a warped smart object slot, which is fully supported.
