Our Honest Take
Look, we built SudoMock, so take this with appropriate skepticism. But here's the thing: we built it because the existing options didn't work for what we needed.
If you're creating mockups occasionally and want variety, Placeit is genuinely excellent. Their template library is massive and the quality is solid. Smartmockups is similar.
If you're an enterprise with an Adobe ecosystem and budget isn't a concern,Adobe Photoshop API is the official option. It's expensive ($0.15/request), but it's Adobe.
But if you need to generate hundreds or thousands of mockups automatically — for POD, for e-commerce automation, for anything at scale — most of these tools simply don't have an API. The ones that do are either expensive (Adobe) or limited (Mediamodifier).
That's the gap we built SudoMock to fill. Full API, custom PSDs, n8n/Zapier/Make integrations, sub-second rendering, and pricing that doesn't make your CFO cry.

Try SudoMock FreeCommon Questions
What's the best mockup tool for POD (Print on Demand)?
For scale and automation, you need API access. SudoMock, Adobe Photoshop API, and DynamicMockups offer this. For manual creation, Placeit and Smartmockups have great POD template libraries.
Can I use my own PSD templates with these tools?
Only API-based tools support custom PSDs: SudoMock, Adobe Photoshop API, DynamicMockups. Template marketplaces (Placeit, Smartmockups, etc.) use their own pre-made templates only.
Which tool has the fastest rendering?
SudoMock averages under 1 second. Adobe is 2-5 seconds. DynamicMockups is 1-3 seconds. Template-based tools are instant but don't offer API automation.
Do any of these integrate with n8n, Zapier, or Make?
SudoMock has native integrations with all three. Adobe and DynamicMockups require custom HTTP integrations. Template marketplaces have no automation support.
